Vickie’s Predator Bugger
A productive streamer pattern
My weighted Predator Bugger is suggestive of many food sources including small bait fish, leeches, dragonflies, and damselfly nymphs. It sports an undulating tail and tapered silhouette to trigger opportunistic trout looking for a high protein meal.
This is the perfect choice before the sun hits the water in the morning or during sunset when large trout are cruising along shoreline areas looking for a big, juicy meal. It is also an ideal pattern to use in early spring or late fall when the water is cool and aquatic food sources are scarce. The fly’s visibility is augmented by incorporating UV materials in the dubbing and marabou tail. Flash at the hook's eye adds additional visibility.
